Paul McCartney's recent bout with a virus, which forced him to postpone a series of concerts in Japan and South Korea, now has affected the upcoming U.S. leg of his Out There Tour. The rock legend has pushed back to October all seven stateside shows originally scheduled to take place this month.
The affected dates include performances in Lubbock, Texas; New Orleans; Dallas; Atlanta; Nashville; Jacksonville, Florida; and Louisville, Kentucky. The trek, which had been slated to kick off on June 14 in Lubbock, now will get under way on July 5 in Albany, New York.
"I'm sorry but it's going to be a few more weeks before we get rocking in America again," Sir Paul says in a statement. "I'm feeling great but taking my docs' advice to take it easy for just a few more days. Look forward to seeing you all soon."
Tickets purchased for the June concerts will be honored for the rescheduled October dates. No word yet when or if McCartney is planning to announce new Asian dates.
