Jon Bon Jovi doesn't just rock huge stadiums as the frontman of his eponymous band -- he also performs solo shows on a much smaller scale every now and then. Next month, he'll do just that to raise money for a New Jersey charity.
The Asbury Park Press reports that Jon and his solo backing band, The Kings of Suburbia, will perform at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank, New Jersey, on Wednesday, July 30. The money will go to support Red Bank's Parker Family Health Center, which provides free health care to low-income and uninsured residents of New Jersey's Monmouth County.
Tickets for the show go on sale this Wedesday, July 2, at noon local time, and range from $50 to $500. Visit CountBasieTheatre.org for more information. There is a limit of two tickets per person.
The Count Basie Theater is on the same street as the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Kitchen, a restaurant where low-income families people can enjoy a meal and either pay what they're able or volunteer in the kitchen to work off their bill.
In other news, a newly remastered reissue of Bon Jovi's album New Jersey is due out today.
