Corazón, Santana's first-ever Latin album, is a big success. The record, which was released in May, has just been certified U.S. Latin double-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for sales of 120,000 in this country.
The album features legendary guitarist Carlos Santana collaborating with a variety of special guests, including Gloria Estefan, Ziggy Marley, R&B singer Miguel, rap star Pitbull, jazz great Wayne Shorter, award-winning Colombian rocker Juanes and more. Corazón, currently is #4 on Billboard's Latin Albums chart, and has spent six weeks at the top of the tally since its release.
Santana recently added a series of North American fall tour dates in support of Corazón, running from a September 25 concert in Albuquerque, New Mexico, through an October 12 performance in Verona, New York. The band currently is in the middle of a summer trek that includes joint shows with Rod Stewart and headlining dates promoting the album.
