Check Out Steven Tyler's New Duet with Smokey Robinson Online Now

Ross Halfin; Autumn De WildeAerosmith singer Steven Tyler's new duet with Smokey Robinson, which will appear on the Motown legend's upcoming collaborative album, Smokey & Friends, can be heard online now at  A video offering the full audio of the track, a new version of Robinson's classic 1962 tune "You Really Got a Hold on Me," has been posted on the site.

The track finds Tyler and Robinson trading off on the soulful tune's memorable harmony and melody lines, while both singers also serve up some improvisational falsetto parts as the song winds down.  In addition, Nicole Scherzinger can be heard delivering some smooth backing vocals.

"You Really Got a Hold on Me" originally was a #8 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 for Robinson's old group The Miracles.  The tune also was famously covered by The Beatles in 1963.

As previously reported, Smokey & Friends will be released on Tuesday, August 19.  It features reinterpretations of a variety of famous songs Robinson wrote or co-wrote for The Miracles, The Temptations and for his own solo career.  In addition to Tyler and Scherzinger, the list of guest artists on the record includes Elton John, James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, John Legend, Cee Lo Green and Mary J. Blige.
