Christopher Cross to Release New Album "Secret Ladder" on Sept. 12

Credit: Ethan HillGrammy-winning artist Christopher Cross returns September 12 with a new album called Secret Ladder.

The disc features 13 new songs about what Cross calls "grown-up subject matter."  One song is a take-down of TV evangelists; another, "A Letter to My Children," was written, he says, as "a lasting statement for my kids."  "We Will Remember You," a tribute to members of the armed forces, will be available for download September 11.

The day of release, Cross will perform in New York City; he also has tour dates scheduled through the fall.  Visit to see the full list of tour dates.

Secret Ladder is Cross' followup to 2011's Doctor Faith.  Cross was most recently seen in December singing his classic "Ride Like the Wind" with Will Ferrell -- as his Anchorman character Ron Burgundy -- on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
