Vince Neil Salutes His Mötley Crüe Band Mates

Image Courtesy Motley Records/Eleven Seven RecordsIf you've seen Mötley Crüe on the All Bad Things Must Come to an End tour, you know that the three musicians on board -- Tommy Lee, Mick Mars and Nikki Sixx -- are a talented bunch.  Singer Vince Neil agrees; though the band members have had their share of spats over the years, the singer has no trouble admitting that he's surrounded by skilled professionals.  Neil tells ABC News Radio that Mars in particular is "an outstanding guitar player [and] very underrated because he shies away from press."

Neil says that even after 33 years of playing together, "[Mick] plays stuff where I go, 'Wow, where did that come from?'  When he does his solos it's pretty amazing, the stuff that he comes up with."

Vince also appreciates Lee, who he describes to ABC News Radio as being "like John Bonham.  He's just a pure rock drummer [and] he has a great meter."  As for Nikki Sixx, Neil calls him "a great bass player [and] a great showman."

Agreeing with the legions of fans who are mourning the end of Mötley Crüe -- because, of course, the veteran rockers has insisted they will never tour again under the band name -- Neil tells ABC News Radio, "You put everybody together, we're Mötley Crüe and that's why we've been together for so long."
