The Script has premiered the video for their single, "Superheroes," online.
The song is the lead single from their forthcoming album, No Sound Without Silence, set for release on September 15.
The clip was shot in Johannesburg, South Africa, by Vaughan Arnell. Arnell's credits include work with Robbie Williams, Dead or Alive, The Spice Girls and One Direction.
The video features images of ordinary citizens -- including garbage men and a father picking up his child at the end of a day's work -- in the city, along with the band, including Danny O'Donoghue, Mark Sheehan and Glen Power.
The lyrics to the song are inspirational, as lead singer Danny sings, "“When you’ve been fighting for it all your life / You’ve been struggling to make things right / That’s how a superhero learns to fly."
The Script is currently touring the U.S. with OneRepublic
The single for "Superheroes," which will be released on August 31, is available for pre-order online. Also available for pre-order is No Sound Without Silence, at the usual digital retailers and on the group's website.
