Bob Dylan's New Album, "Shadows in the Night," Debuts at #7 on the "Billboard" 200

Columbia RecordsAfter debuting at #1 on the U.K.'s Official Albums Chart earlier in the week, Bob Dylan's new standards collection, Shadows in the Night, has bowed in the top 10 of the U.S. top albums tally, the Billboard 200.  The folk-rock legend's 36th studio effort, which features renditions of 10 songs previously recorded by Frank Sinatra, landed at #7 of the chart after selling 50,000 copies.

In comparison, Dylan's previous album, Tempest, which was released in September 2012, debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 and moved 110,000 units during its first week.  Bob scored his first-ever top-10 album nearly 50 years ago with his fifth studio effort, Bringing It All Back Home, which arrived in stores March of 1965.  That record peaked at #6 on the chart.
