Halestorm's "Apocalyptic" Hits Number One on "Billboard's" Mainstream Rock Songs

Credit: Jake Giles NetterA storm is brewing on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart. Halestorm's "Apocalyptic" has reached the top of Mainstream Rock Songs, giving the band their second number-one hit on the chart.

By ascending to the top of Mainstream Rock Songs, "Apocalyptic" has made Halestorm only the fourth female-fronted band to score two number-one hits on the chart. The band joins The Pretty Reckless, The Pretenders and Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks as the only female-led acts to accomplish that feat. Additionally, Halestorm joins The Pretty Reckless as the only two acts with female vocalists to top Mainstream Rock Songs Chart since 1990, when singer Alannah Myles hit number one with "Black Velvet."

"Apocalyptic" also made Halestorm the first female-fronted band to score number-one hits at Active Rock radio on consecutive albums.

"Apocalyptic" is the lead single from Halestorm's forthcoming album, Into the Wild Life. The album will be released April 14.
