"Glen Campbell…I'll Be Me" Documentary Getting Released Digitally on Tuesday and on DVD in September

Virgil FilmsGlen Campbell…I'll Be Me, the 2014 documentary about pop-country star Glen Campbell's farewell tour and his battle with Alzheimer's disease, will be released as a digital video this Tuesday, August 18, and will be available as a DVD on September 1.  The film follows Campbell throughout the 151-show trek he launched in 2011, and documents his and his family's struggles as his disease progresses.

The movie, which was directed by James Keach, includes live performances, behind-the-scenes clips and video highlights from throughout Glen's career.  It also features interviews and appearances by various famous musicians and other celebrities, including Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, U2 guitarist The Edge, Sheryl Crow, Bill Clinton, Jay Leno, Steve Martin and songwriter Jimmy Webb.

In June, Glen Campbell…I'll Be Me aired on CNN as part of the cable network's CNN Films series, and became the most-watched installment of the franchise, with more than 2.7 million people viewing the flick on its premiere date.

"The legacy Glen Campbell and his incredibly courageous family share in this film is one of the most important movies I have been blessed to have worked on," says Keach.  "Glen Campbell...I'll Be Me will forever inspire me as a filmmaker and a man.  Glen is a real life hero on and off the stage."

The movie also will be available via various video-on-demand outlets starting on September 1.
