Evanescence's Amy Lee Composes Score to Short Film, "Indigo Grey: The Passage"; Watch Film Now

Image Courtesy of Wind Up RecordsAmy Lee has returned to the film world. The Evanescence frontwoman has co-written the score to Indigo Grey: The Passage, a short film with elements of sci-fi, dance and martial arts. You can watch the seven-minute film now on YouTube.

Lee's score, which she wrote with composers Dave Eggar and Chuck Palmer, is mostly instrumental, although she does provide a few vocal flourishes here and there. Indigo Grey: The Passage is the second film for which Lee has composed the score, and the second time she's worked with Eggar. The pair previously recorded Aftermath together, the soundtrack to the 2014 feature-length film War Story.

Indigo Grey: The Passage is based on dance troupe Hammerstep's Indigo Grey live show, which will open in New York City in 2016.

In between her work on film soundtracks, Lee is back with Evanescence, who had been on hiatus for the last three years. Evanescence will play their first shows since 2012 this November with dates in Nashville, Dallas and Los Angeles. The band also will play this year's Ozzfest Japan, which will feature Ozzy & Friends, Korn, Of Mice & Men and Jane's Addiction.
