Help Avril Lavigne Fight Lyme Disease and You Could Win a "Charming" Prize

Robb DippleAvril Lavigne has been fighting her own battle against Lyme disease, and now she wants to help others who are also suffering from the illness. Her Avril Lavigne Foundation has launched a new global campaign to raise money to benefit children and young adults with Lyme disease.

“I’m excited that this year’s campaign is supporting people with Lyme disease and helping others to better understand the issue,” Avril says. “My fans are always so supportive and ready to give back; I look forward to coming together for an issue that’s so close to me.”

The five-week campaign kicked off on September 27 -- Avril’s 31st birthday -- and runs through November 9. With just a small donation, you’ll be eligible for rewards like T-shirts and signed merchandise. You’ll also be entered to win a chance to meet Avril and have a speaking role in the upcoming animated film Charming, which features Avril as the voice of Snow White. The grand prize winner will be randomly selected at the end of the campaign. To donate, visit

Avril established The Avril Lavigne Foundation in 2010 in support of children and youth living with serious illnesses or disabilities. She revealed her Lyme disease diagnosis in April of this year.
