Ryan Tedder, Hailee Steinfeld, Emeli Sande Share Their Holiday Plans

iStock/ThinkstockFrom the Western United States to England, here are how some music stars are spending their holidays:

OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder is from Colorado, and that's where he and his family -- his wife and their two young sons -- spend Christmas. "We do the Santa thing, we do Christmas morning together," he tells ABC Radio. "Nobody but just the four of us the morning of Christmas. Every single year we go to the mountains. We typically go to Vail or Beaver Creek or Aspen or wherever, which we absolutely love."  Ryan recently tweeted a photo of a chairlift on a snowy ski slope, so he's already in holiday mode.

Hailee Steinfeld will recover from a busy year spent releasing a hit single, touring with Meghan Trainor, and starring in the acclaimed new film Edge of Seventeen to celebrate both Christmas and Hanukkah. She tells ABC Radio, "Holidays is family time to me. Everybody’s always traveling and rarely in the same place at the same time so it’s just as much family time: baking, cooking, eating, sleeping a lot and just being together."

As far as the cooking's concerned, Hailee says yes, she cooks, but adds, "I’m not good. I shouldn’t take credit for anything, but I do enjoy it." Perhaps she should get some tips from her pal Taylor Swift, who's supposedly a wiz in the kitchen.

Emeli Sande, the Scottish singer best known for her hit "Next to Me," spent 2016 promoting her new album Long Live the Angels.  She's going to appear on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest at the end of the month, but for Christmas, she's hoping her parents will cross the border from Scotland to England to celebrate.

"My parents live in Scotland, my sister and I live in England," she tells ABC Radio. "So we’re supposed to take turns [hosting Christmas], but this time my mom said that if we cook and clean up afterwards, she might come down to England. So I’m hoping we’re gonna have a really nice time together."

Emeli says cooking's not really her thing, though: after cooking a turkey once, she jokes that she "retired" from it.
