Who run the world? Beyoncé releases "Freedom" video for International Day of the Girl 

ABC/Image Group LATo commemorate International Day of the Girl on Wednesday, Beyoncé released a brand-new video for her song "Freedom." 

The empowering visual features a diverse number of young girls lip-syching and showing off impressive dance moves in various international locations. 

Unsettling statistics about girls are also shown throughout the clip. 

For example, one reads, "Every five minutes a girl dies as a result of violence."  

At the end of the video, the quote, "Girls around the world are fighting for their freedom every day," is shared, along with another statement encouraging viewers to share the visual.

Fans are also encouraged to visit the Global Goals for Sustainable Development organization for more information on how to join one more or charitable initiatives to help girls live better lives all over the world.
