Kelsea Ballerini follows "The Star" for a new Christmas tune

Black River EntertainmentChristmas is still roughly three months away, but it seems like Kelsea Ballerini’s already been in the yuletide spirit.

“So so excited to announce that I recorded a song for The Star…” the CMA Female Vocalist of the Year nominee tweeted.

The animated holiday feature is a retelling of the nativity story through the eyes of the animals. It boasts an all-star cast, including Oprah WinfreyTyler PerryTracy MorganAnthony AndersonKelly ClarksonKris Kristofferson and more.

While we don’t know anything about Kelsea's song yet, we do know it’s part of a stellar soundtrack that also includes contributions from Jake OwenMariah Carey and Fifth Harmony.
