Pink scores most number ones by a female artist on Adult Pop Songs chart

ABC/Lou RoccoPink has officially surpassed Katy Perry to claim the record for most number ones by a woman on the Billboard Adult Pop Songs chart.

“What About Us” has become Pink’s ninth number one on the list. The last time she was number one was more than four years ago, with “Just Give Me a Reason,” featuring Nate Ruess. Before that, she scored number ones with “Who Knew,” “So What,” “Sober,” “Raise Your Glass,” “F*****’ Perfect,” “Blow Me (One Last Kiss),” and “Try.”

Among all acts, only Maroon 5 has landed atop the Adult Pop Songs tally more times. They’ve had 12 number ones, followed by Katy with eight, Taylor Swift with six, and Adele and Nickelback with five apiece.
