Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne: Holiday hometown hero

George SalisburyThe Flaming Lips will be giving back to their hometown of Oklahoma City this holiday season.

The band’s frontman, Wayne Coyne, has created a line of psychedelic wrapping paper that will benefit a local charity initiative called Wrap Up Homelessness.

The $20 package of Coyne-designed paper features three sheets based on the artwork of the band's latest release, Oczy Mlody.

All the proceeds from each package of wrapping paper purchased goes to support The Curbside Chronicle, a magazine that employs and empowers homeless and low-income people in Oklahoma City.

For more info, or to order the wrapping paper, go to the Wrap Up Homelessness website.
