The Killers invite photographer on stage: "I'm not going to kick you in the face"

ABC/Randy HolmesThe Killers frontman Brandon Flowers invited a photographer on stage during the band's performance Sunday at the same Los Angeles radio festival where Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme kicked a photographer the previous night.

"Come on up here...I'm not going to kick you in the face, just come on up here, it's okay," Flowers said. "I just want to tell you to tell all your friends that you're welcome here, and at any Killers concert you're safe, and you're respected." Fan-recorded footage of the interaction was posted to social media.

Saturday night, Homme kicked a camera being used by photographer Chelsea Lauren while she was shooting QotSA's performance. Lauren was sent to the hospital, and on Sunday wrote that, "My neck is a sore, my eyebrow bruised and I'm a bit nauseous." Homme has since offered a written and video apology.

Also during The Killers show, the band covered The Smiths song "This Charming Man" in honor of Morrissey, who -- surprise, surprise -- canceled his headlining performance at the festival. You can watch fan footage of that on social media as well.
