That's What I Like: Bruno Mars is StubHub's top touring act of 2017

Kai Z. FengWhat a year it's been for Bruno Mars.  He was named Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards, he received six Grammy nominations, and now ticketing site StubHub has named him the year's top touring act.

According to StubHub, Bruno was the number one-selling music artist on the site in 2017, thanks to ticket demand for his 24K Magic World Tour.  He'll wrap up the 2017 leg of the tour with two New Year's shows in Las Vegas on December 30 and 31.

Bruno's tour starts back up again at the end of January with four shows in Mexico, followed by four shows in Vegas.  Then it's off to New Zealand and Australia, Asia and Europe.

The second biggest tour of the year was U2's Joshua Tree tour, and the legendary Irish group also was responsible for seven out of StubHub's top-10 selling concerts of the year, due to the fact that they played stadiums.

Other top tours of the year included treks by Ed Sheeran, Billy Joel, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers and Lady Gaga.  And speaking of Gaga, she headlined Coachella this past year, and that festival was StubHub's top-selling festival for the third year in a row.

For 2018, StubHub predicts that the most in-demand acts on tour will be Taylor Swift, U2, Maroon 5, Eminem and Foo Fighters.  We'll get a sense of how in-demand Taylor's Reputation tour will be when tickets go on sale next week.
