Gucci Mane reveals blinged-out autobiography artwork

ABC/Randy HolmesGucci Mane displays plenty of bling on the cover of his upcoming autobiography.

The Atlanta rapper unveiled the artwork on Twitter: a photo of his tattoo-covered left hand wearing a diamond-encrusted gold watch, gold bracelet and a gold and diamond ring pinky ring. The caption reads, “I'm an author now #TheAutobiographyOfGuccimane."  However, his publisher's website notes that the cover image is "not final."

Gucci began writing the book three years ago while serving a sentence for firearms possession.

“In his extraordinary autobiography, the legend takes us to his roots in Alabama, the streets of East Atlanta, the trap house, and the studio where he found his voice as a peerless rapper,” reads the description from publisher Simon and Schuster.

The statement continues, “He reflects on his inimitable career and in the process confronts his dark past—years behind bars, the murder charge, drug addiction, career highs and lows—the making of a trap god. It is one of the greatest comeback stories in the history of music.”

The Autobiography of Gucci Mane will be published September 19, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on
