Mastodon drummer Brann Dailor's band Arcadea announces debut album

ABC/Randy HolmesArcadea, a synth-rock band featuring Mastodon drummer/vocalist Brann Dailor, has announced the details of their debut album. The self-titled record will be released June 16.

"The album envisions a future 5 billion years from now, where the impending collision of galaxies creates a new order of planets," reads a press release. "It is in this universe that Arcadea reign supreme as the last surviving space wizards since the final extinction."

For a preview of what, uh, that sounds like, you can listen to Arcadea' debut single "Gas Giant," which was originally released in 2015.

Dailor, meanwhile, is currently on tour with the rest of Mastodon in support of their new album, Emperor of Sand.
