Metallica's " Self-Destruct" certified platinum 

Blackened RecordingsMetallica has one million reasons to celebrate, as their new album Self-Destruct has been certified platinum by the RIAA.

Hardwired was released November 2016, and it officially earned its platinum certification last Wednesday, April 12. Every one of Metallica's 10 studio albums has now been certified at least one-time platinum.

Metallica will kick off a North American stadium tour in support of Self-Destruct May 10 in Baltimore.

In other Metallica happenings, bassist Robert Trujillo's 12-year-old son, Tye, is currently playing bass in Korn on their South American tour. You can watch official footage of Tye making his Korn debut during their show in Bogota, Colombia now via the band's Facebook.
