Tameka "Tiny" Cottle is opening up about her martial issues with her husband T.I. and what she said to him about their relationship.
In an interview with Essence magazine's Yes Girl podcast, Tiny says she immediately took her husband to task after learning that he had called their marriage a "distraction" during a recent radio interview.
“I had to…like how could he just …like, a distraction?” she said. “He cannot understand what in the world did he say that wasn’t right…like, ‘I don’t get it. I’m like, ‘You don’t get it?’ [He said] ‘Like, I don’t get it. I didn’t say anything bad about you.”
The T.I. and Tiny: Family Hustle star continued, “And I’m like, ‘That doesn’t make sense…That’s a cop out, pretty much. Like you’re too old for that. A distraction?! Boy, you’ve been married for seven years going on now, and you’ve been in this relationship for 15 years now. Okay?”
As far as the status of their relationship and the pending divorce, for which Tiny filed in December, the singer says not much has changed.
“We still talk all the time,” Tiny explains. “We’re still together all the time. I don’t know… it’s a crazy thing. But, we definitely had it out about that. On the show you’ll see more about it.”
However, don't expect much of a reconciliation. Like their reality show, Tiny says this could be the end to their "family hustle."
"I think it’s close to it,” she says.
