Tom Morello, Against Me! contribute to Chelsea Manning benefit album

ABC/Randy HolmesTom Morello and Against Me! have contributed to Hugs for Chelsea, a benefit album to support Chelsea Manning, who was released from military prison Wednesday morning after seven years of incarceration.

Hugs for Chelsea includes Morello's track "Until the End," which he recorded as his acoustic solo project The Nightwatchman, and a "Resist Version" of Against Me!'s Shape Shift With Me track "ProVision L-3." Additionally, Michael Stipe provides a 30-second spoken-word intro to the album.

In 2013, Manning was convicted and sentenced to 35 years in prison for releasing classified and otherwise sensitive military and other documents to WikiLeaks. Her sentence was commuted earlier this year by former President Barack Obama just three days before he left office.
