Evanescence premieres "Synthesis" version of "Bring Me to Life"

Credit: P.R. BrownEvanescence has released a new version of their breakthrough single, "Bring Me to Life," as the first preview of their forthcoming album, Synthesis, which re-imagines songs from the band's discography with electronics and a full orchestra.

Frontwoman Amy Lee's vocals are just as powerful as ever on the new track, but just when you expect the crunchy, nu-metal guitars of the original's chorus, a giant string section sweeps in. You can download the Synthesis edition of "Bring Me to Life" now via digital platforms.

Along with the reworked tracks, Synthesis also features two brand-new songs. The album is due out in the fall.

Evanescence will kick of a North American headlining tour in support of Synthesis, during which they'll be joined by a full orchestra, October 14 in Las Vegas.
