What the Hell? Speedos, fur coats and hijinks on tour with Dierks Bentley and Jon Pardi

ABC/Image Group LA Dierks Bentley wraps up his What the Hell Tour in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Englewood, Colorado this Friday and Saturday. Having spent all year on the road with Cole Swindell and Jon Pardi, the probability is high that some unforgettable antics are on the way this weekend.

“Every show, Dierks pulls a prank on me!” Jon complains. “I'm used to it. I just show up and be ready to be made fun of. I'm gonna bring something, but other than that, I don't know what's gonna happen. But I know something's gonna go down.”

Dierks’ hijinks usually involve the Jumbotron and a doctored photograph of the “Heartache on the Dance Floor” opener.

“I mean every show, they Photoshop me around the town in this big fur coat,” Jon explains, “and it's like one hundred degrees outside. The photo was taken of me doing this pose, and it was in Canada, so it was cold.”

“And they superimpose me in a Speedo, not just any old Speedo, but one that has the suspenders all the way, big hairy chest. Who knows what he's gonna do this weekend? Never picks on Cole, though,” he laughs. “Guess I can take it!”

No matter what this weekend holds, Jon says Dierks definitely has his vote for Entertainer of the Year when the CMA nominations are announced on Monday. He even sounds a little sentimental about the fact that the trek is wrapping up.

He laughs, “It's gonna be fun, and it's gonna be a celebration of a great tour and a great year for all of us. And a relief too! 'Alright, see you guys!'”
