Watch Green Day play Global Citizen Festival, Billie Joe Armstrong perform on "The Tonight Show"

ABC/Heidi GutmanGreen Day is gearing up for a busy weekend in New York City. Tonight, frontman Billie Joe Armstrong is performing on NBC's The Tonight Show, and Saturday, the punk trio will play the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park.

On The Tonight Show, Armstrong will perform Green Day's song "Ordinary World," the closing track off of the band's new album, Revolution Radio. The Tonight Show airs at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.

As for the Global Citizen Festival, you can watch the concert live online via beginning at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, September 23. The event's lineup also includes The Killers, The Lumineers, Stevie Wonder and The Chainsmokers, among others.

In other Green Day happenings, Rolling Stone points out that Armstrong was a guest during Michael Moore's one-man Broadway show The Terms of My Surrender. Naturally, the pair talked a lot about Donald Trump, whom Armstrong called "bats*** crazy." The musician also took aim at Democrats, whom he said don't have "any cojones" to stand up to the president.

"We don't need nice guys any more. Nice guys finish last," Armstrong declared, referencing Green Day's Nimrod single.
