Little Big Town loves wine so much, Kimberly Schlapman's even willing to stomp the grapes

PRNewsfoto/4 Cellars Little Big Town is one of the most-nominated acts at this year’s CMA Awards, with nods for Vocal Group, Single, Album and Video of the Year -- as well as a Song of the Year mention for Taylor Swift, who wrote their chart-topping hit, “Better Man.”

It’s a safe bet the wine was flowing after the nominations were announced on Monday, especially since the foursome has their own line of vino.

“We drink a lot of wine!” Phillip Sweet laughs, explaining how their Four Cellars brand started.

“I guess it was a couple years ago,” Jimi Westbrook continues, “we had a show... up in the Washington area, and we went over and visited Browne Family Vineyard, and loved the wine. Fast-forward I guess a few months later, Andrew Browne came to a show, we hung out backstage, immediately hit it off with him, had the best time that night. And just realized there was kind of a kindred spirit there...”

Soon, Little Big Town launched into learning all they could about the wine business.

“… Just really from the very beginning, we did everything but jump into the [grape vat],” Karen Fairchild jokes. “Kimberly really wanted to do a like, Lucille Ball...”

“I wanted to so bad!” Kimberly Schlapman agrees.

“I guess that's not sanitary anymore,” Karen adds, as the four all laugh.

You can try out Little Big Town’s vintages by joining their wine club at Close to twenty restaurants around Nashville also offer LBT’s vino.

We’ll find out how many trophies the foursome can take home, when the 51st CMA Awards air Wednesday, November 8 on ABC. In the meantime, Little Big Town's latest single, “When Someone Stops Loving You,” is making its way up the chart.
