Blunder(buss): Jack White confused for Eminem on "Jeopardy!"

ABC/Nicole WilderJack White has had an eventful week: he released two new songs from his forthcoming album Boarding House Reach, and he was a clue on a recent episode of Jeopardy! Sadly, the first person to answer the clue confused the ex-White Stripes frontman for rapper Eminem.

The clue, taken from a category titled "Vinyl Resting Place," read, "A recent vinyl resurgence has been aided by this musician, who built a pressing plant in his Detroit hometown."

One contestant quickly buzzed in with "Who is Eminem?" which was met with a stern "No" from host Alex Trebek. Another contestant then followed up with the right answer, "Who is Jack White?"

On its face, the mix-up is understandable; after all, Eminem is also from Detroit. However, the clue was also accompanied by a picture of White, wearing the goatee-mustache combo from the White Stripes' Get Behind Me Satan era, making the blunder even more embarrassing.

White's new album Boarding House Reach is due out this year.
