Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood earns Oscar nod for "Phantom Thread" score 

ABC/AMPASRadiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood's score for the film Phantom Thread is nominated for Best Original Score at the 2018 Oscars. It's the musician's first-ever Oscar nod.

The other nominees in the category include Hans Zimmer for Dunkirk, Alexandre Desplat for The Shape of Water, John Williams for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and Carter Burwell for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Greenwood's score was also nominated for a Golden Globe, but lost out to The Shape of Water.

Phantom Thread, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and starring Daniel Day Lewis, also earned nods for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor, among others.

Greenwood previously scored the Anderson films There Will Be Blood, The Master, and Inherent Vice. His There Will Be Blood soundtrack was nominated for the 2009 Grammys.

The 2018 Oscars, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, air March 4 on ABC.
