Steve Miller teaming up with Americana artist Marty Stuart for two Lincoln Center concerts

Credit: Jay BlakesbergSteve Miller will celebrate the music of Appalachia at a pair of concerts at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Rose Theater in New York City this Friday and Saturday. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer will be joined at the shows by acclaimed country/bluegrass artist Marty Stuart and his group The Fabulous Superlatives.

The concerts are the latest in a series of performances Steve has given at Jazz at Lincoln Center in which he explores the various forms of the blues. Marty will co-host the shows, which also will feature other as-yet-unannounced guests. A free discussion also will be held prior to both events. Stuart is a multiple Grammy winner who frequently collaborated with Johnny Cash. Earlier this year, he and The Fabulous Superlatives accompanied founding Byrds members Roger McGuinn and Chris Hillman on a tour celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Byrds' influential country-rock album, Sweetheart of the Rodeo.
