"Immortalized," indeed: Disturbed's comeback album certified platinum

Credit: Travis ShinnDisturbed's album Immortalized is one million steps closer to immortality. The Chicago metallers' comeback effort has been certified platinum by the RIAA.

Immortalized was released in August 2015, ending Disturbed's four-year hiatus. The album spawned the singles "The Vengeful One," "The Light" and "Open Your Eyes," as well as a Grammy-nominated hit orchestral cover of the Simon & Garfunkel classic "The Sound of Silence," which has been certified three times platinum.

Following Immortalized, Disturbed released a live album, Live at Red Rocks, in November 2016. The band has recently begun working on their next studio offering: Over the weekend, they shared a video of themselves alongside producer Kevin Churko, who also produced Immortalized

Disturbed will headline this year's Rock Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin, held July 12-14.
