Meghan Trainor’s new single is called “No Excuses”

Brian Bowen Smith / FOXMeghan Trainor has revealed the title of her new single: “No Excuses.”

The singer posted a soundless Boomerang video to her Instagram page showing her on the set of the song’s music video, along with the caption, “The first single off my third album is called No Excuses.”

In another Instagram video, Meghan shows her family visiting the music video set and teases that the video is “coming soon.”

Her third album, a follow-up to 2016’s Thank You, does not yet have a release date. Meghan previously hinted at what fans can expect from her new sound.

"I have my family members singing on every single song because I wanted big vocal songs," she explained at the Television Critics Association press tour last month. "So...there’s no such thing as a quiet, little love song. They’re all big, in your face, booming, kinda ‘80s, but soulful...And my father’s playing on a song."

She also said this album was inspired by her relationship with fiancé Daryl Sabara.

Most recently, Meghan was a judge on the Fox singing competition The Four, which has been renewed for a second season.
