New Florence + the Machine album coming in 2018, according to record label head 

ABC/Fred LeeFlorence + the Machine's next album will finally arrive this year, if the head of the band's record label, Virgin EMI, is to be believed.

In a blog posted to Virgin website, CEO Ted Cockle says the label is "looking forward to great new music from Florence + the Machine."

Along with Florence, Cockle also names CHVRCHES and James Bay as artists releasing new music this year on the label.  Both CHVURCHES and Bay recently released new singles.

Florence + the Machine's most recent album is 2015's How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful. In addition to the potential new album, frontwoman Florence Welch is releasing a book of lyrics and poetry titled Useless Magic on July 5.
