New Andy Gibb hits compilation arriving next month

Capitol/UMeA new album that features all of late pop star Andy Gibb's biggest hits will be released on April 13. The Very Best of Andy Gibb is a 15-track collection that will be available on CD and as a digital download.

The album includes the singer's three chart-topping singles -- "I Just Want to Be Your Everything," "Shadow Dancing" and "(Love Is) Thicker than Water" -- as well as the top 10 hits "(Our Love) Don't Throw It All Away," "An Everlasting Love" and "Desire." The latter tune features Andy's older brothers Barry, Maurice and Robin Gibb, a.k.a. The Bee Gees.

Barry Gibb wrote or co-wrote many of Andy's hits, some in collaboration with Andy and/or with his other brothers.

In addition, the compilation features "I Can't Help It," a duet with Olivia Newton-John that reached #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1980. Closing out the record is a cover of the classic Carole King-Gerry Goffin tune "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" that features Andy duetting with soul singer and backing vocalist P.P. Arnold.

Fans who pre-order the album now will get an instant free download of "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," as well as streaming access to the track.

Gibb was just 30 years old when he died in March 1988 from myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart.
