Garth reloads the next round to follow "Gunslinger"

ABC RadioIt didn't take Garth Brooks long to get back to work, after wrapping the North American leg of his World Tour in Nashville in December.

On this week's episode of Inside Studio G on Facebook, the six-time CMA Entertainer of the Year revealed he's already back in the studio working on a new record.  And if Garth has a little extra swagger these days, it's understandable:  2017 brought his first post-retirement #1 with his recent hit, "Ask Me How I Know."

Garth says he's feeling more confident then ever about his place on the musical landscape.

"I have never seen the diversity that I see in country radio now," he observes. "Now when you talk about new music, you have this entire vast horizon to choose from of what you’re going to bring to the table."

"I will tell you this," he teases. "Fun is always a wonderful ingredient."

So far, Garth has cut at least two songs. His most recent record, Gunslinger, came out in November of 2016.
