Did Usher and wife Grace Miguel separate because she wanted kids via surrogate?

ABC/Fred WatkinsTuesday, Usher and his wife of two years, Grace Miguel, announced in a joint statement to Us Weekly that they were separating as a couple.

Now, there are rumors that the couple disagreed about having children.

Sources have reportedly told entertainment gossip website The Jasmine Brand that one of the main reasons for the pair's split was because "Grace really wanted to have kids and Usher wasn't necessarily open to the idea."

Those sources add that Grace "wanted to [use] a surrogate," because a natural childbirth for the 46-year-old music executive wasn't an option.

Usher, who's 39, was supposedly "only willing to adopt" and "didn't want [to use] a surrogate at all."

In addition, Usher's public STD scandal of last year allegedly contributed to the breakup. "It put a serious strain on them," sources say.

"The headline and accusations were brutal. And it was really tough on them. They were fighting about it non-stop."

Usher and Grace Miguel tied the knot in 2015. Grace is Usher's second wife; he married his first wife, Tameka Foster in 2007.

They divorced in 2009.

Usher and Tameka share two sons: Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond
