R. Kelly accused of transmitting STD to young woman in new allegation

Randee St. Nicholas/ RCA RecordsR. Kelly is facing a shocking new allegation in regard to his supposed "sex cult."

The Washington Post reports that an unidentified woman is accusing the singer of giving her a sexually transmitted disease when she was 19 years old, claiming they dated for eight months.

The Washington Post reports the young woman recently filed a complaint with the Dallas Police Department against the performer and is prepping to file a federal civil complaint as well.

The woman's attorney, Lee Merritt, tells the Washington Post that his client met Kelly in June and their relationship ended in February.

Kelly allegedly infected the unidentified woman in Dallas in December.

A statement from Merritt also claims that she was being groomed for the superstar's supposed "sex cult," which BuzzFeed reported about extensively last year.

Over the years, Kelly has been accused of having sex with underage girls and possessing child pornography.

Buzzfeed's report alleged the singer was running a "cult" that allowed him to sexually abuse and control young women. Kelly has denied all allegations.

A statement from Merritt accuses R. Kelly of unlawful restraint, furnishing alcohol and illegal drugs to a minor, and aggravated assault.

"These offenses occurred while our client was being groomed to join Kelly's sex cult," he adds.

A representative for R. Kelly tells the Washington Post that he "categorically denies all claims and allegations" from Merritt's client.

Merritt is expected to hold a news conference Wednesday at Dallas Police headquarters.
