Jared Leto plans trip across America to celebrate new Thirty Seconds to Mars album

ABC/Randy HolmesThirty Seconds to Mars will release their long-awaited new album AMERICA this Friday, April 6, and frontman Jared Leto is embarking on a cross-country trip to celebrate.

Leto's journey begins today in New York City, and he plans to arrive in Los Angeles on Friday in time for the album's release. According to a press release, Leto will accomplish this though "any means possible," including everything from planes, trains and automobiles to hitchhiking, Greyhound buses and Lyft rides.

If you happen to run into Leto on his quest, he'll be handing out genetic testing kits to help fans "discover more about who they are and their connection to others."

AMERICA, Thirty Seconds to Mars' fifth studio album, features the singles "Walk on Water" and "Dangerous Night." The band will kick off their North American Monolith tour June 6 in Toronto.
