Credit: Travis ShinnKillswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach has shared an update after undergoing surgery on his vocal cords Monday.

"Surgery went well my friends. Time for rest and recovery," Leach writes in an Instagram post. "I'm glad it's over and I'm headed home."

Last week, Killswitch announced they'd be canceling their upcoming shows through May 5 due to Leach's surgery, including a number of festival and headlining dates.

Leach also gave a shout-out to his "bad a**" wife Melissa for supporting him through the surgery and for being his "biggest fan, biggest critic, best friend, partner in crime and the love of my damn life."

The next date on Killswitch's schedule is a May 26 show in Estonia. Leach will also be appearing at the Small Bites of Hope mental health awareness benefit event on May 9 in New York City, which he'll be co-hosting with Hatebreed's Jamey Jasta.
