Primus to "cool-out for awhile" after Mastodon tour

Oliver Walker/Getty ImagesPrimus is currently on tour with Mastodon, and if you were on the fence about hitting a show, Les Claypool has some information that may help sway your mind. According to the bassist/vocalist, the Mastodon trek will be "the last Primus run for a bit."

"We will need to cool-out for awhile, recharge and work on our nunchaku skills," Claypool says.

"So, if you want to get your Goblin Rock fix, now is the time to do so as it will be the last time to witness the glory of the Desaturating Seven production," he adds, referring to Primus' most recent album.

Primus' tour with Mastodon continues this Friday, May 25 in Glen Falls, New York, and wraps up July 7 in Phoenix.

If you only have interest in Mastodon, though, they won't be quitting the road any time soon. Following the Primus run, they'll embark on a tour with Dinosaur Jr. in September.
