Watch now: Taylor Swift steals Jennifer Nettles' man in Sugarland's Mad Men-inspired "Babe" video

Big Machine RecordsTaylor Swift not only co-wrote the Sugarland song “Babe,” she came up with the idea for the Mad Men-inspired music video as well.

“She actually reached out to us and said, ‘I’ve got a great idea for the video,’ and she wrote the treatment,” Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles tells People.

The video, released over the weekend, features Taylor playing a red-haired secretary having an affair with Jennifer’s husband, played by actor Brandon Routh.

Jennifer plays the perfect 1960s housewife, cleaning and cooking meals for her husband. She discovers his affair after she brings him lunch at work one day and finds Taylor in his office.

The video ends with her tossing her husband’s things outside, changing the locks on their home and taking off her wedding ring. The husband is left to pound on the door as a neighbor looks on.

But it turns out Taylor's character isn’t so happy dating a married man either. She’s left heartbroken on her kitchen floor.

Taylor co-wrote the song with Train’s Pat Monahan and it was originally supposed to appear on her 2012 album Red.
