Tiffany Haddish says Sanaa Lathan's parents were angry at her over #WhoBitBeyonce

ABC/Paula LoboIs Sanaa Lathan back on as a suspect in the whole #WhoBitBeyonce mystery?

In a new interview with The Hollywood ReporterTiffany Haddish smiles when Lathan's name is mentioned as the culprit.

"I'm super-good friends with her stepmom and her dad [Stan, a producer-director], and they were mad at me," Haddish says. "They were like, 'Why would you do this to the family? You know, black actresses, you guys have to stick together, it's so hard for you guys to get work as it is, why would you try to ruin her career?'”

She adds, “But I didn't try to ruin her career. I never said her name! I was just trying to say how Beyonce kept me from goin' to jail that night. I coulda just shut my whole career down."

Haddish first recounted the story to GQ in March, dishing that Beyonce was bitten by an unnamed celebrity at a party. Lathan has denied it was her.

In addition, Haddish tells The Hollywood Reporter that the story didn’t get her banned from any parties -– in fact, she claims she gets invited to more now.

Elsewhere in the interview, she also addresses a recent interview with Tracy Morgan, her co-star in the TBS series The Last O.G, in which he rudely shut down a question about her.  The comedian says she wasn’t offended by the brush-off.

"You guys, chill,” she says. "He's probably just tired of hearing my name. It's exhausting. I'm tired of hearing my name."

She continues, "I could see how that could be irritating, like, 'Hello, I died, people. I'm back from the dead. Tiffany's cool, but it's me sitting here now.' So, I get it, I'm not mad about it, I love me some Tracy."
