The Lumineers release "C-Sides" rarities EP

ABC/Randy HolmesThe Lumineers have released a new EP titled C-Sides. The three-track rarities collection is available now on digital platforms.

One of the C-Sides cuts is a track called "Scotland," which served as the theme for the CW show Reign. Frontman Wesley Schultz says that "Scotland" "was born out of this feeling that the world, the people around you, will often just not understand you."

"The song was special to us because it had this beautiful driving rhythm that [drummer] Jer [Fraites] played that reminded us of battle drums," he adds.

C-Sides also includes a song called "Visions of China," as well as instrumental titled "For Fra."

The Lumineers' most recent full-length album is their 2016 sophomore effort Cleopatra.
