Credit: Roger EricksonJoan Jett has inked an agreement with the Sony Music Entertainment company and its Legacy Recordings imprint covering the worldwide rights to the influential rocker's entire catalog and all of the releases on her Blackheart Records label.

As part of the deal, Legacy Recordings has made several studio albums by Jett and her band The Blackhearts available from digital outlets and streaming services for the first time. Among these titles are Jett's 1980 solo debut, Bad Reputation, 1981's I Love Rock 'n' Roll, 1984's Glorious Results of a Misspent Youth, 1994's Pure and Simple, 2006's Sinner and 2013's Unvarnished. Also debuting on digital and streaming services are the compilations Flashback, Fetish and Greatest Hits, and the special releases I Love Rock 'n' Roll 33 1/3 Anniversary and Joan Jett -- The First Sessions.

Meanwhile, the agreement will see all of Jett's albums, singles, music and concert videos, and other releases made available in digital and physical formats under the Sony Music Entertainment/Legacy Recordings umbrella.

Included in the deal will be the soundtrack to the upcoming Jett documentary Bad Reputation, which will be released on September 28. The album will include a brand-new Joan Jett and the Blackhearts track, "Fresh Start," along with archival live and studio performances by the group, plus tracks by The Runaways, Bikini Kill and members of The Sex Pistols. The record also will feature an unreleased rendition of Joan's song "Androgynous," performed by Jett, Miley Cyrus and Against Me's Laura Jane Grace.

The movie will be screened in theaters across North America for one night only on September 26, then will begin theatrical runs in New York and Los Angeles on the 28th. It also will be available via iTunes, Amazon and On Demand that day.
