John Legend has delivered on his promise and officially premiered the stirring video for his newest single, "Preach."

In the Dominique DeLeon-directed clip, Legend is seen sleeping alongside wife Chrissy Teigen until he  suddenly awakes. Opening the door of his bedroom, the newly anointed EGOT winner enters a high school gymnasium as students flee from an apparent shooting.

The video also tackles police brutality as well as immigration, and is inspiring fans to take action by utilizing YouTube’s new fundraising feature which allows viewers to donate to Legend's FREE AMERICA social justice campaign.

“The idea behind the song is that sometimes we can get so frustrated by the news and what’s going on and there’s this scatter going on in ourselves," the singer said in a press release.

He continued, "Do we become apathetic? Do we become engaged? Do we just talk about it, or do we do something?”
