Mike Shinoda has a fever for more cowbell in new parody video

ABC/Image Group LAMuch like Christopher Walken, Mike Shinoda has a medical condition regarding the cowbell. Specifically, he has a fever.

The Linkin Park vocalist/multi-instrumentalist has released a new video parodying that iconic Saturday Night Live sketch. In his version, Shinoda asks his recent opening band, British rockers Don Broco, if he could play cowbell during their set. When they politely decline, Shinoda then demands that he be allowed to play cowbell.

Cut to the show, and Shinoda is running around the stage banging the cowbell while the members of Don Broco look visibly uncomfortable. But when they ask him to stop, the crowd starts booing. The band finally relents, and Shinoda plays cowbell to his heart's content as the audience cheers.

The video ends with the message "When Mike Shinoda wants to play cowbell, Mike Shinoda plays cowbell." You can watch it now on YouTube.

Shinoda is currently touring Europe in support of his new solo album, Post Traumatic.
