Can we talk for a minute? Tevin Campbell is set to guest star on "Queen Sugar"

Josh Brasted/FilmMagic90s R&B sensation Tevin Campbell is making his way to primetime television-- thanks to Oscar-nominated director Ava DuVernay.

Back in August 2018, DuVernay had come to Campbell's defense after some fans questioned his current relevancy in music and even his range.

"Rebuking any Tevin Campbell slander from millennials and plotting to write him into an episode of Queen Sugar SOMEHOW," DuVernay had promised. "On general principle."

Now, OWN has announced DuVernay has officially made good on her promise.

In a tweet from the Queen Sugar account, OWN revealed Campbell's casting.

"You asked, @ava listened. #QUEENSUGAR," the message read, adding a video of the tweets where DuVernay promised to cast Campbell on the show.

It was quickly followed up with a video of Campbell on the Queen Sugar set thanking DuVernay and sharing his excitement.

"@Ava is a doer, she kept her word,” he said, before teasing that fans should tune in to season four to find out more details about his character.

Like previous seasons, Queen Sugar will continue with an all-female directing team, a “creative initiative” set in the show’s first season by DuVernay, the show's creator and executive producer.

The upcoming season of Queen Sugar will find the Bordelon siblings, played by Dawn-Lyen Gardner,  Rutina Wesley and Kofi Siriboe, working to save their family farm and preserve their father’s legacy as they navigate their own personal journeys.

The fourth season of Queen Sugar premieres Wednesday, June 12 at 9 p.m. ET on OWN.
