The "It's Love" rockers have announced that they plan to release their first new album in a decade later this year.

"I never know what to expect," frontman dUg Pinnick says of the upcoming record. "I'm always surprised when it's done and can see it as a whole picture. And we're making a record after how long?!"

He adds, "I've been waiting for this to happen for a very long time, and I'm totally looking forward to it."

King's X's most recent album is 2008's XV.
