Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" surpasses Drake's single-week streaming record

Eric LaggLil Nas X is still riding the high from his viral hit "Old Town Road" topping the charts--- but, now the 20-year-old has even more to celebrate.

In its second week atop the Billboard Hot 100, the "country trap" record has now surpassed Drake's single-week streaming record on the U.S. Streaming Songs chart.  Thanks to a new remix of the track featuring country star Billy Ray Cyrus, "Old Town Road" racked up 143 million plays last week.  That breaks Drizzy's record of just over 116 total single-week streams last year, with "In My Feelings."

Nas X celebrated the feat on Twitter by writing, "BIGGEST STREAMING WEEK EVER! IM SORRY WHAT THE F***!!! EVER??!"

In addition, the song experienced a sales bump of 454%, selling 124,000 downloads in the past week. That's the biggest weekly sales total since Drake's "God's Plan" debuted last year with 127,000 downloads.

In addition, "Old Town Road" has given Cyrus his first number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The country singer -- father of Miley Cyrus -- previously enjoyed top 10 success back in 1992 with his breakout single "Achy Breaky Heart."
